Happy New Year's Eve everyone!

Cannot believe this year is already ending, it's scary how fast time is flying. Looking back on the year I can confidently say that I've had a pretty amazing one.

Some of my top highlights have got to be getting a new job, meeting new people, travelling more, studying further, getting into better shape, pursuing hobbies, meeting personal goals and achievements, and of course blogging more!

I'm looking forward to the new year with new exciting ventures, opportunities and memories to be made. So, here's to an even better, more successful and most importantly a happier year!
Whether you're out partying the night away or spending a quiet night in, let's welcome 2016 with a BANG!
I got a feeling this year is going to be rather special :)
The finished look with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top coat.
Two coats of Kiko 334.
Stamped using LA Colors - Solar Gold and MoYou London Kaleidoscope 03 plate.
I used glitter from W7 - Multi Dazzle and placed them individually around the design to create a fireworks effect.

Happy New Year from MiliManicure :)
Hope everyone had a fab christmas and a great time off with their families. I'm still happy holidaying and enjoying this precious time off work before the new year kicks in with busy schedules and exciting new plans.
With just two more days to go, here's the perfect party manicure ready for the 2016 countdown.
The finished look with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top coat.
Two coats of Rimmel Pro - Black Pearl. This black is filled with gorgeous fine shimmer.
Stamped using Cheeky Holiday Plate 6 and Barry M - Silver Foil.
I added some fine glitter using LA Colors - Sassy Sparkle on the middle finger around the champagne glass design.

Happy polishing until next time..
Happy Christmas to everyone celebrating! The day is finally here which means I can officially stop with all the themed nail art posts. As much as I loved creating these, I was beginning to run out of ideas!
It only seemed right to do a 'presents' manicure for today and I'm hoping you all got what you wished for (or the next best thing!)
The finished look with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top coat.

Two coats of Nails inc - Franklins Row and Great Titchfield Street. Look how amazing that sparkle is in natural sunlight!
I used a nail striping brush to draw on the lines and bow to create a wrapped gift effect.
I added a small gold glitter sparkle to the centre of the bow to finish the look.

Merry Christmas from MiliManicure..
Elf has to be one of my all time favourite christmas movies; I mean you just can't get through the holidays without watching it at least once!
Now I'm absolutely terrible when it comes to freehand nail art on myself but I've given it a go here so I hope you like them!
The finished look with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top coat.
Two coats of LA Colors - Palm Tree and Barry M - Silver Foil.
I created this nail art using a nail striper brush.

Happy polishing until next time..
Since tomorrow is Christmas Eve, today I'm bringing you Santa Claus nails! This one is for all the little kiddies out there who believe Santa will bring a sense of magic to their homes this Christmas :)
The finished look with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top coat.
Two coats of Natural Collection - Red Robin and one coat of H&M Silver Frost on the middle finger. I created the white beard and fur using a dotting tool and Maybelline White Sail.
I stamped over the glitter with a candy cane print using Cheeky Holiday plate and used a dotting tool and LA Colors Black Velvet to create the eyes.

Happy polishing until next time..
Coming up with ideas for this theme is actually proving to be quite fun and it's really getting me into the festive spirit (even though I technically don't celebrate it). My Christmas countdown wouldn't quite be complete without famous Rudolph so here's my creation for today.
The finished look with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top coat.
Two coats of Natural Collection - Red Robin, OPI - Gold Shatter and Maybelline - White Sail.
Stamped using Nails inc - Richmond Terrace and Cheeky Holiday Plate.
I added a gold bead to the red nails and red beads to create the reindeers nose.

Happy polishing until next time..
With just four more days left until christmas I thought I would do a christmas inspired manicure for each day, starting with the tree. I really like how these turned out because they look really simple and elegant against the white background colour.
The finished look with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top coat.
Two coats of Maybelline White Sail.
Stamped using Cheeky holiday plate and Kiko 347.
I added some fine glitter by LA Colors Sassy sparkle.

Happy polishing until next time..
Taking a little break from all the christmas nail art, here's a random design I picked from one of my plate collections and it sort of looks like a tile pattern - simple but effective.
The finished look with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top coat.
Two coats of Kiko 319 and Maybelline Ocean Blue. I've taken this with flash to show the fine glitter within the blue.
Stamped using Jumble plate B.

Happy polishing until next time..
I guess you're going to have to brace yourself with all these christmas inspired nails, because you'll be seeing a lot more of them until the countdown to christmas. It's a great excuse to get creative with inspiration from festive finds and here's a look that reminds me of baubles on a tree.
The finished look with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash- Top Coat
One coat of Barry M Silver Foil.
One coat of Nails Inc Holographic Electric Lane.
Stamped using Covergirl Shiraz and MLS 04 plate.
I added some glitter elements using W7 Multi Dazzle.

Happy polishing until next time..
It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas which is why I've chosen this gorgeous soft sparkly red shade called scarlet sparkle by Make up gallery. This look is super easy and quick to create if you're struggling for time. The silver glitter on the edge of the nail represents some tinsel decoration.
The finished look with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash - Top coat.
Two coats of Make up gallery - Scarlet sparkle. It consists of very delicate, multicoloured, holographic glitter which is impossible to capture in the images as it just appears to look silver.
Glitter used on the edge: H&M - Silver frost.

Happy polishing until next time..
I may have watched a little too much of I'm a celebrity these past few weeks but does this print remind anyone else of snakeskin? There's something about this netted design that appears to illustrate a scaly reptile skin effect, and using green definitely adds to that look. It's hard to tell in these images (I promise to find a solution to taking better pictures soon) but I was actually going for a matte look here. In person it looked super matte but unfortunately the images haven't picked it up too well.
The finished look with Rimmel Pro - Mattifying Top Coat.
Two coats of Sally Hansen - Kiwi Bikini.
Stamped using Kiko - 347 and MLS-02 plate.

Happy polishing until next time..
It's sparkle season and I think I went a little overboard with the glitter but if you want an eye catching manicure, then this is the one. I've used Nails inc - Westminster Bridge Road Galaxy and it's a gorgeous combination of light reflective glitter particles that are super bright and sparkly. It's the perfect manicure for party season or a New Year's look.
The finished look with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat.
Two coats of LA Colors - Purple Ice.
One coat of Nails Inc - Westminster Bridge Road Galaxy.

Happy polishing until next time..
Glitter and sparkle seem to be the latest trend as that's all I'm seeing everywhere this festive season. I've never been a huge fan of glitter simply because it takes absolutely ages to remove off my nails, but here's something I've never tried before - a glitter gradient.
I created this gradient using M&S - Turquoise mix and LA Colours - Purple Ice. This blue is absolutely stunning! It has really fine gold glitter particles within it.
I originally wanted to stamp on the previous gradient using gold and it turned out to be a disaster so I repainted my last two fingers with the purple shade, so the stamping would show.
This sparkly gradient reminds me of the ocean (I don't quite know why) and so I thought it was appropriate to use my fairytale mermaid stamping plate by MoYou to create this design.
Finished off with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash - Top coat.

Happy polishing until next time..
Galaxy nail art manicures have been surfacing for a while now and I've wanted to try them for ages but I've seen so many amazing designs that I couldn't possibly compare to them. However I came across this tutorial by Cambria and I couldn't resist! Her nail art is to perfection and mine looks nothing like hers but I had to give it a go anyway..not bad for a first attempt I think.
The finished look with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash - Top coat.
Two coats of Sally Hansen - Night Watch.
To create this effect I used the colours: Maybelline - White sail, Barry M - Aqua, Barry M - Grey and LA Colors - Black velvet.
I then added glitter to represent stars using H&M - Silver Frost.

Happy polishing until next time..
