This might just be my favourite newly discovered nude for spring! It's by essie called cocktails and coconuts and it's from last years spring collection. It consists of tiny secret silver glitter which is only visible in sunlight. Your skin tone will most likely determine the kind of nude it appears and whether it's more taupe or a light beige, but I definitely think it suits all types. I've used two thick coats to get a good opaque coverage however if you apply polish quite thin then 3 coats will be required.

Taken in direct sunlight to capture the soft glitter.
Stamped using Rimmel - Black Pearl and Moyou - Tourist plate 21.

Rimmel - Black Pearl, Essie - Cocktails and Coconuts and Sally Hansen - Top Coat.

OPI Can't Afjord Not To is from the Nordic Fall Collection 2014 but I would say it's definitely more of a summer shade. It's a creamy muted orange and would look amazing on tanned skin tones. In natural daylight it looks much brighter but also a softer shade of orange compared to evening. It's not as bright as a neon however, so for me it makes a perfect balanced summer shade!

Two coats of polish, taken in natural daylight.

Taken in the evening - colour appears darker and more orange.

Stamped using Barry M - Matt White and cheeky vibrant plate 03.

OPI Nail Envy - Base coat, OPI - Can't Afjord Not To, Barry M - Matt White and Sally Hansen - To coat.

Last week was the first issue of the March Stylist Magazine and it was full of spring goodness and a blast of fresh colours. I was impressed by the amount of nail polish posts it contained and I'll include some of the images in my future posts for the ones I've been inspired by. Today's post was in fact inspired by the front cover, as I realised peach and yellow make a great combo for Spring.

The finished look with top coat.
Stamped using Sally Hansen - Night Watch and MoYou London - Kitty Collection 03

Gradient using BarryM - Peach Melba, Fashion Studio - Yellow Buttercup.

My sister got inspired to do a gradient too so here's a nude a black one I did for her.

Monday Blues? Not with this colour! It's a perfect summer wear and yes I know it's only March and summer still feels ages away, but I couldn't resist choosing a bright shade to do this weekend since the sun was shining here in London (even if it is still deceivingly cold). It's from china glaze's neon summer collection and as far as neons go, it's not blindingly bright. It dries matte and has a slight shimmer to it making it look super pretty in the sun - it's basically the perfect summertime poolside colour!

Two even coats to get an opaque coverage.
The polish dries matte.

Stamped a floral print using Barry M - Silver Foil and plate MLS-03.

Taken in direct sunlight to capture the slight shimmer.

Finished with top coat.

OPI Nail Envy - Base coat, Barry M - Silver Foil, China Glaze - Towel Boy Toy and Sally Hansen - Top Coat.
