OMG just one more night until we enter 2014! Who's excited?? I know I am :D Happy New Year in advance to u all! May you have a fab year ahead an here's a new year manicure for you to enjoy! :)
For this look I've done a black to blue gradient to create a night sky effect and then added some glitter on the tips for those sparkling firework displays.

The finished look with top coat.

I used white as a base coat and then sponged on the black and blue gradient (one coat).

Good evening bloggers! Today I have a gorgeous colour to show off! It's by Covergirl - Shiraz (no. 155). It's actually a German brand so you can't officially buy it in the UK, (but I managed to pick it up at a makeup stall for only £1.50). I must say it was definitely a bargain worth having! I'm not a pink person so I usually avoid these shades but this one was so eye catching that I couldn't resist! This colour tends to change in tone under various lights, from a very bright raspberry pink to a more dark plum/wine colour. I've only had to apply one coat as it's very strongly pigmented (I recommend using a base coat). I've tried to capture it as best as I could but the pictures really don't do the colour justice.

The raspberry pink tone.

The more plum/wine tone (actually looks slightly darker than this in real).

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! :)
Hope everyone received lots of lovely presents and are ready to munch some yummy food tonight! It's time to shine bright like a diamond (or a star) with todays manicure! I've used LA colours - Solar gold as a base coat and then used OPI - Gold shatter to get a bright glittery effect (I used two coats of the shatter top coat as I wanted the cracks to be very subtle) and then I used LA Colours - Black velvet and cheeky plates CH5 and CH25 to stamp with.

You can see the brightness of the gold here and also the subtle shatter effect.

Happy Christmas Eve people! It's time to wrap your presents if you haven't already! For todays manicure I've attempted to do green water marble nails as it reminds me of the blended colours in christmas wrapping paper. For the accent nail I've used Nail inc - Chester street as a base and then stamped using cheeky plate - Happy holidays Jumbo plate.

The finished look with top coat.

Accent nail base colours is Nails inc - Chester street.

YAY it's the weekend! London is pretty crazy right now with everyone doing their last minute shopping but you can definitely feel the christmas vibes going around :)
For this look I first painted my nails with OPI - Alpine snow and then did a strip of purple glitter (as tinsel) and then a black tip, all separated by silver striping tape.

Hey everyone! Here's day 9 with Christmas trees! I've used OPI - Big red apple and Nicole by OPI - Khloe had a little lam-lam as the main base colours. (This Nicole by OPI shade was released among the Kardashian Kolor holiday collection 2011 by Khloé and it's a very deep teal creme). I then used Nails inc - Great tichfield street to create the gold tree (using striping tape).

The finished look. (Lighting isn't too great so you can't see the brightness of the teal here.)

Two coats of the base colours.

Using striping tape, make triangles and fill in with the gold polish.

Finally, I added some white/pink stars and chunky glitter to complete the look.

Happy Birthday to me!!! :D

Today's nail challenge theme is originally supposed to be 'Santa' but since it's my birthday, I wanted to paint my nails of my choice. Sorry Santa maybe next time!
After constantly doing nail art designs and trying to be creative, I wanted to do something plain and simple for my birthday, so I've used OPI - Can't let go from The Mariah Carey Liquid sand collection.

Happy Sunday! Today's manicure is 'Lights' and for this look I've used Maybelline - Green Miracle and LA Colors - Black velvet.  then used W7 - Multi dazzle and tried to create Christmas dangling lights on my accent nail using just the glitters. I've never done glitter placement before so I found it quite tricky to do but I like the look overall.

YAY we're now half way through! It's Day 6 of my #12dayscc and today we're gonna let it snow :D The base colour used is by OPI - Alpine Snow and for this manicure I've sprinkled on silver caviar beads to create a 3D snowy effect. It's an easy manicure to do however it's a little tricky getting all the beads to cover the nail bed evenly while making sure they don't spill everywhere! (Apologies for completely forgetting to upload this yesterday!)

The finished look (taken with flash).

It's time for day 5 of the nail challenge and today it's Holly day! I've used LA Colors - Solar Gold, Maybelline - Green Miracle and Sally Hansen - Kiwi Bikini for this look. This technique makes it really easy to achieve a simple holly leaf design (see pictures below for tutorial) and it was inspired by Nailside. Hope you like it :)

The finished look.

I applied two coats of each colour first.

Then using the Sally Hansen green I applied 3 strokes (each one slightly shorter than the previous) going downwards towards the tip of the nail so that the dark green begins to form a holly leaf shape.

Finally add three small dots of red to create small berries and there you have the finished look!

From left to right: LA colors - Solar gold, Maybelline - Green miracle, Sally Hansen - Kiwi bikini and Rio nail art pen - Red.

Happy Sunday! :) Christmas movies have officially started here in UK (Home Alone was on!! YAY!) so it's definitely starting to feel christmassy now. It's day 4 of the challenge and the theme is candy cane. I've used striping tape to create this manicure so it was quite quick to do. The white is by OPI - Alpine snow and the red is by Nails inc - Roland Gardens, which is a beautiful metallic shimmer red.

The finished look.

I painted the middle and ring finger with white, ready to then apply the striping tape.

From left to right: OPI - Apine snow, Nails inc - Roland gardens and Seche vite - top coat.

Happy Friday everyone!! :) It's been a very chilly day in London again so I guess this manicure fits in perfectly. Day 3 is snowflakes and for this look you'll need some sparkle. The base glitter used is by LA colors - sassy sparkle and the blue glitter on the tips is by Angelica - Bewitched. I then used LA Colors - french white and a thin nail art brush to draw on the snowflakes.

The finished look - I'm disappointed with my terrible skills at drawing a snowflake so next time I'll just stick to stamping :(

I painted my nails with the sassy sparkle first and then used this blue to paint my accent nail and tips.

I then topped the blue with Angelica - bewitched glitter chunks on to the tips and accent nail.

From left to right: LA colors - sassy sparkle, Blue polish (no name), Angelica - Bewitched and LA Colors - french white.

Oh dear, is it only midweek? :( Need the weekend to hurry up already! Anyway, it's Day 2 of my Christmas challenge and the theme is love. I've gone for a pink and purple contrast - the pink is by Beauty uk - Strength (Breast cancer collection) and the purple used is by Nails inc - Franklins row. This purple is a beautiful shade embedded with tiny shimmer crystals with a very slight tint of blue in it. I've stamped using cheeky plate CH15.

The finished look.
Two coats of both colours - you can see the slight shimmer in the purple here.
I then added some pinky/purple glitter to the accent nail. It's by Angelica - Asteroid. (Daylight shot)
Here's a flash shot so you can see how pretty this glitter is.

Daylight shot. Stamped with LA colors - french white and cheeky plate CH15.
